Their hygiene practices aren't very good. Meat smells a little funky, dead flies in frozen food section, and a lot of their dairy items and bread are expired.

Excellent service from when u walk in till u check out. Now the meat markert so clean very well spoken manager by the name of Falcon. He explains everything and he cuts everything and anything just how u like it..AWESOME!!
Good for buying anything you forgot at H.E.B.
Also, instead of just standing there in the front of the checkout line staring at your cashiers trying to make sure they don't steal, maybe you should use that time to sanitize the store a little. Maybe the store would be cleaner and your cashiers would feel less like suspects and smile more.
We tried purchasing a whole cooked chicken and asked if it was fresh, the manager basically lied to us when he told us it was because as soon as I picked up the chicken, the cashier girl in the background signaled us not to get it.
A lot of memories from this place... Always a homey ambience. Low prices on some items.
Advice to management, I know you're trying to cut costs by selling old meat and expired food but you're ultimately harming your business by building a reputation of having bad hygienic practices.
